Progress report

It is now 3 weeks since the surgery.  My Sunday School class of 5yr olds were very curious about my surgery.  One asked if they took my eye completely out to work on it while another wanted to know if they cut it up so that they could work on it.
I tried to explain in simple terms that there was a tissue growing inside my eye that had to be removed.  One little boy asked in an incredulous voice ,"So you are growing Kleenex in your eye?"
Had to change the word tissue to membrane............and he still was not satisfied.
A little girl asked if I was OLD?  I said  Yes, I am old and then she said "Well, why don't you have gray hair?"  I said, I do have some gray hairs - just look.  So all of them gathered around and started inspecting my hair for gray hairs.  They said, we cannot find any of them, so I showed them the grays at my temples.
I guess if you are old, you need to have completely gray hair.
Sara just called me on facetime and she had her ultrasound today and they are going to have another little boy.  Lyla is thrilled.  She told me that she gets to sleep with one more boy now!  I guess she cannot visualize that the baby is really tiny and not the same size as her big brothers.  She is thrilled that she gets to be a big sister.
I guess that means that I have to make a boy-color quilt for the new baby.  I really was hoping for a little granddaughter but as long as the baby is healthy all will be well.
